Long Past Due…
So here it is autumn in beautiful North Idaho. The trees are starting to turn yellow. It is getting chillier at night and in the mornings. And…alas…the kids are back in school.
For those keeping score at home, Brennan is living with us full time now. He is a Freshman at Bonners Ferry High School. So far, he says he likes it. He has been right on top of his homework and completes it as soon as he gets home. He is in Algebra I, Band (which includes Pep Band, playing at home games), Earth Science, Drafting, Transitions (study skills, etc), Spanish I and some sort of English class. His only complaint thus far…we get up too early. His bus doesn’t pick him up until 7:10, and, for the most part, we are all up at 6 or so because Monkey catches his bus at 6:35.
Monkey is loving second grade. He thinks his teacher is pretty nice and so far his favorite class is Science…(makes me very happy…I likes science). He still gets excited when he learns new things…it is awesome. I am amazed at how fast he fell right back into his schedule. We have only had two near bus misses…and they were both my fault.
I am still working at the hospital and things are going smoothly there as always. Katie is still working at the hospital and there are changes happening there, but I will let her tell everyone about it.
On a very cool note, Katie has done a lot of pictures already this fall, with more to come. I like seeing her excited about it.
So anyway, everything is good here in the toolies. Cub Scouts starts on Tuesday and Monkey is a big bad wolf this year. I have kinda been pulled into the scouting thing a little more this year. It should be fun.
Detective Cat…a mystery
Ashton brought home his first book today. He wrote it himself and illustrated it as well. It is available online for everyone to view by clicking here…
oh the drama
So I apparently am going to continue the drama into 2009 which I swore wasn’t allowed. I started having this hideous pain in my stomach and back last Thursday, I chalked it up to some random thing but then it happened again on Sunday so Monday morning I called and got an appointment with the Dr. Turns out I have stupid stupid gallstones. The attacks keep coming harder and stronger so I am scheduled to have it taken out Friday May 1st…..booo to more surgery lol.
Lucky for us Bill’s mom is going to come and help take care of my brood of boys for a while since I doubt I will be up and running immediately. I can’t tell you how much pressure that takes off me!!
On a positive note our little man who refused to be on his tummy for the longest time actually got up on his knees yesterday! He’s a long way from actually being mobile but I think once he gets it figured out I’m in big trouble lol.
Other than that we’re just working working working trying to get ready for summer and our trip East! Hope you are all doing well, love you bunches! xoxo
Oh let’s see….where to start…..
As you can see my time for blogging is very very minimal these days lol. Everyone is doing well although we are all very anxious for the weather to stay nice. I think I heard a rumor about 78 this Saturday!!!
We’ve had a busy April so far with Ash’s birthday, our anniversary, and Bill’s birthday.
The boys are doing well, getting excited for summer vacation now. I am totally pumped for the end of June to hurry up and get here as we will be heading east to the Minnesota/Wisconsin area. I can’t wait to see everyone and for everyone to get a chance to meet Brennan and Carson…well and Bill for those who didn’t get to meet him while he was there before lol.
Carson is getting so big so fast he is now eating cereal and baby food and working really hard on sitting up…he however hates tummy time and I am pretty sure he’ll never crawl…….which in reality is ok by me lol.
Ashton just got his report card back and is doing really well in school he is reading and spelling like a champ these days (which makes it a lot harder for the adults in the house to keep secrets cause he’s always reading over our shoulders lol). He and Bill will be selling honey for cub scouts for the next couple of weeks so if anyone wants to buy some just let us know we would LOVE to hook you up.
That just made me realize that I haven’t heard or seen anything about Brennan’s report card so I can’t report on that for you all lol. I’ll have to check into that J
I got some really super exciting news the other day, I was officially hired for my first photography job!! I will be doing a wedding in May and if they like the results they also have a daughter who needs senior pictures done. I am soooo excited about this I can’t even tell you. I also created a website for anyone who wants to peek it’s www.snapshotsphotography.instaproofs.com .
I am actually at work writing this so I better get going before I get fired lol just wanted to give a quick update. Love you all and talk to you soon…
Very Very Delinquent
I just wanted to do a quick update…of course as soon as I opened this up to start typing Carson decided it was time to wake up from his nap …figures lol. (This may have something to do with why I never post anymore lol.)
Ok baby is fed now I will try to finish this quick lol.
The kids are doing well, all of them are growing like crazy. Carson is very into baby babble now which is fun. I have still been pretty unsuccessful with the pictures of all three of them…the plan is to try again this weekend so we’ll see how that goes. I did get some more of Carson though … hehe he can’t fight back yet lol.
Hope all is well with everyone I know I haven’t talked to my MN friends and family near as much as I would like to but life is crazy busy .. seems like there is always something going on.
Playtime’s Over
While it’s been nice being home with the little guy I am officially back to work on Tuesday. I’m kind of excited about it actually .. it will be nice to get some girl time again lol. Not a lot new as of right now, Brennan and Ash are both doing well and Carson is growing tons. He smiles now and is getting interested in his toys which is fun to see. His big brothers take good care of him it’s pretty cute.
These are some of the latest and greatest… still need to get all the boys together for a photo shoot and some of just Carson and Dad…that may be a project for next week
Pictures will be uploaded shortly, but they are all official. They were married at 2:45 December 27 in the company of friends and family at Mugsy’s Pub in downtown Bonners Ferry, ID.
It was a very short ceremony per the wishes of the new husband and wife. We will upload pictures shortly.
Yesterday, we had a full day of doctors appointments. Katie had to go get her post delivery check up and she passed with flying colors. Carson had his first checkup, too. He has gained six ounces in the seven days since he came home. That puts him at around six pounds, twelve ounces. He is much more alert now than before and is keeping us hopping. Ashton got another 100% on his spelling test yesterday. That is about all the news we have as of yet. I will post more when there is more to say.
He’s finally here!!!
So we welcomed Carson Anthony Blumenauer into the world on Tuesday November 25th..which was our scheduled c section date however he decided he wasn’t waiting and my water broke at midnight.. lol figures.
I got up and in the shower thinking we had plenty of time but within about ten minutes the contractions started fast and hard, Bill got up and got all the bags in the car.. we woke up both of our moms to let them know we were on our way and off we went the 45 miles to the hospital. I was quite sure there was a very real possibility we were going to have him in the truck but my wonderful husband made sure we got there as quick as humanly possible lol.
Carson was born at 3:56 am via c-section weighing 6lbs 15oz and beautiful as ever. He did however pee on the pediatrician .. we are convinced if he’d waited a few seconds he would have weighed 7lbs even lol.
We are home now and doing well.
I am going to attempt to post some pictures but if i fail miserably I’ll have to have my husband come back and edit.
